China is confirmed as one of the most interesting markets in the world for wine imports. It is now the fourth world destination in terms of value, with 2.1 billion euros and 6.3 million hectoliters of imported wine. The Chinese market is one of the few where you can see amazing opportunities to increase wine consumption and therefore imports.
The potentials are enormous and only partly exploited. Despite a still low per capita consumption, the number of bottles sold in the last few years has progressively increased, making a positive market trend estimate for the next few years.
